about;

I first got into graphics design when I was in college at Western Connecticut State University, and a friend introduced me to Photoshop. Soon, I was trying out all the tutorials I could find and using them to make computer backgrounds, banners and other graphics for web sites and forums. Once my talents at graphics expanded, it was only a matter of time before I got into web design in order to make my own portfolio.

Since then I've progressed in my coding and graphic making to build websites for myself and others. I had a few small design sites where I made layouts for fan-sites and another where I coded layouts for users of a blogging service called Livejournal.

In May of 2007, I completed a career course in Web Design at Penn Foster Career School with a lesson average of 98. I have also trained myself through practice and experience to code in both HTML and PHP. I am also capable of using Adobe Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro and Dreamweaver.

Starting in May of 2008, I began volunteering as the Website Administrator for the ReCONNstruction Center, a non-profit organization that recycles used (but perfectly good) building materials and keeps them out of dumps by reselling them at a lower price. While I did not design the website, I am responsible for updating it weekly and adding new sections and graphics as they see fit.
